It’s an open race in this west-end ward because Mark Taylor is vacating his seat following a self-imposed limit of two terms.
Theresa Kavanagh wants voters to give her a promotion after serving two terms as their trustee on the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board.
One of her opponents, Don Dransfield, is married to Ottawa-West Nepean Liberal MP Anita Vandenbeld.
Another challenger is Trevor Robinson, who lost to Taylor in 2014.
Taylor said Friday he hasn’t endorsed any of the candidates and is not working on any of their campaigns.
